Sculpture
Sculptural works will almost always include glass in Detleft’s praxis, however, occasionally he will work with other materials and explore the inherent possibilities depending on the material he chooses to use. There is always always a relationship to painting in his sculptures where he attempts to fuse his painter’s mind into the three-dimensional aspects of sculpture in a subtle way.
we will introduce various pieces from his sculptural oeuvre as well as architectural art glass that he creates and look forward to bring them to our audience and clients.
“Excavations Head 01”
2021, hand-colored glass wheel cut and partially polished, styrofoam plaster, metal paint, and acrylic, base cedarwood, wax finished.

“Stehle no. 01”
Multi-layered fused glass, powder colored on various levels, copper wire inclusion, cut and polished, the heavy base is also fused and polished.

“Skyward”
This assembled piece is made with, colored bar multi-layered fused glass with powder color inclusions, cut and wheel polished, body piece is cast soda-lime glass block, wheel cut and polished on a concrete block base.
